Sojourn
the most best planned and surprising trip of my life so far. i might paint a canvas for dr. king or one of the guest speakers. im so speechless and i cant remember all the little and big things on the trip right now. it was so enriching and i would have never trade it for the world, literally. because we learn about people who we never though existed, things that happened that we would have never thought happened in the country of oppurtunity. its amazing to hear all these stories going on in the 60's and civil rights movement is supposed to be on history books. its not fair for the martyrs and fallen "soldiers" who lost their lives fighting for what WE can have in the snap of our fingers. sojourner's promise is to inform the ignorant and tell em what american history really is and that AMERICA WAS BORN IN 1965, IN SELMA, ALABAMA, and that is where we should be bringing our family to learn about history instead of washington d.c. i will write more throughout my life and teach my self and others how to interpret nonviolence and the people in history throughout my everyday struggle and know how much MORE pain and struggle they endured just for simple rights when our rights are handed on a silver platter. its nice that we all showed such interest to this lost piece of history -j9
